How to handle initial service?

• Focus attention on quiet, undisturbed areas that spiders prefer such as closets, garages, basements and attics
• To figure out where spiders live use their webs as a map. They often hide in nearby cracks and crevices. Those are the areas to be treated with Talstar P or Temprid FX
• Check and treat harborage areas such as corners of windows, closets, behind furniture
• De-web and remove egg sacks on the exterior of the home
• Treat exterior using Talstar P or Temprid FX focusing around windows, doors, exterior lighting, under decks, under eaves and downspouts
• Lighting on the exterior of the building draws flying insects which attract spiders
• Place glue board monitors along baseboards and in the corners of rooms with suspected activity
• Inspect for clutter in garages, attics and basements
• Check for broken screens to reduce entry points

What to communicate to client?

• Encourage clients to reduce conducive conditions around the structure
• Eliminate harborage areas by moving firewood, building materials and debris away from the foundation
• Reduce clutter in basements, attics and garages
• Clean behind outdoor window shutters
• Our office will follow up with you in two weeks to check the progress of the treatment
