Preferred Products We Use:

  • Phantom Termiticide / Alpine WSG
  • Fipronil (Taurus SC or Termidor SC)
  • Temprid FX
  • Talstar P
  • Maxforce Quantum Ant Gel
  • Advion Ant Gel

How to handle initial service?

  • Interior
    • Spot or crack and crevice applications may be made in non-food handling areas using Phantom Termiticide / Alpine WSG
    • Crack and crevice application in food handling areas using Advion Ant Gel or Maxforce Quantum Ant Gel. NOTE: Do not apply bait to areas where food, food utensils or food processing surfaces may become contaminated.
  • Exterior
    • Use a coarse-banded surface spray to treat in pest-entry points around doors, windows, and holes in exterior walls using Taurus or Termidor
    • Treat band around foundation of structure using Taurus or Termidor
    • Treat ant mounds directly using Temprid FX or Talstar P

Why do we use those products?

  • Taurus and Termidor are non-repellent. They are slow-acting so the ants have time to get back to the colony. In the colony, the active ingredient transfers between ants whether they are dead or alive. Taurus and Termidor have very long residuals (around 2 months)
  • Phantom / Alpine WSG are also non-repellent. They are allowed to be used inside, but outside it wears off quickly.
  • Advion Ant Gel and Maxforce Quantum Ant Gel are also non-repellent. They are attractive to foraging ants. They are slow-acting and therefore effective to eliminate the colony.

What to communicate to client?

  • You might see more ants initially because our treatment attracts them
  • Don’t kill any ants because it might cause the colony to split
  • It will take some time for all of the ants to go away. Our service is designed to eliminate the colony and for that the product needs to work slowly so that it can be brought all the way back to the colony
  • Our office will follow up with you in two weeks to check the progress of the treatment

How to handle follow ups?

  • Inspect inside and spot treat as necessary
  • If you treated with gel bait on the initial, consider treating inside with a non-repellant spray (Phantom / Alpine WSG for example)
  • Do exterior perimeter treatment whether there is activity or not in order to reduce callbacks
  • Check for ant mounds outside and treat them directly using Temprid FX or Talstar P

What to document?

  • Document level of activity
  • Document any treated areas and method of treatment
  • Evidence of live activity on follow up

Treatment options we provide?

  • For single family homes we provide either 30-day special or Protection Plan (quarterly)

How do they differ?

  • The initial service for the Protection Plan always includes:
    • Perimeter application
    • Remove spider webs outside
  • The 30-day special is just focused on getting rid of target pest
